THE FAIRY QUEEN’S CUCKOO CLOCK

BABA YAGA’S WINTER ESCAPE • It was icy-cold in the forests of Russia. A fierce autumn wind blew, and the first snow fell on the ground. It also fell on the roof of Baba Yaga’s hut, which stood on a pair of giant chicken-legs!

PELE AND THE POI • Pele the fire goddess lived in a volcano called Mount Kilauea, on the big island of Hawaii. She had a fierce temper! When she got mad, her volcano would erupt and devastate the island.

THE ENCHANTED STAG • Once upon a time, a poor farmer lived in a tiny cottage with his son and daughter, who were named Gerard and Giselle. He loved his children very much, and though they were poor, they were very happy.
