Storytime

THE SONG OF THE WIND • In the age of legends, Vanemuine lived in Finland. He was the god of song, and he made his home in a cave on a high hill.

PLANTING THE SEEDS • The squirrel leaped and loped through the forest, his nose twitching. He was hungry, and wanted to get nice and fat for the winter!

THE LITTLE TAILOR GIRL • The night air was chilly as the little cart creaked down a narrow lane in the French countryside.

DECORATE IT!

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT....

GENIE APPRECIATION DAY • A voice echoed through the rooms of Aladdin’s huge palace.

THE QUEEN BEE • Once upon a time, in a distant kingdom that is no more, there lived a king who had three sons. George, the eldest, was thoughtless, while Angus, the middle one, was greedy. Patrick was the youngest, and his brothers made fun of him because he was short and skinny.

THE SKY RIDERS • Sami was awoken by the buzzing of his third alarm. Was it 8.30 already? He would be late for school! He swung down from his hammock and into his wheelchair. Its shock absorbers cushioned the impact, and the engine buzzed as it turned on.

GO GREEN!

THE WATER OF LIFE • n the mountains of northern Spain, there once lived a lady who had three children – two boys and a little girl.

THE SEA MONSTER OF THE OKI ISLANDS • A long time ago, in the country of Japan, there lived a brave warrior called Oribe. He had a daughter whose name was Tokoyo.

Storytime PLAYBOX • Take our jigsaw puzzle challenge, complete a clever crossword, clean up for a genie and play a fun sound-copying card game!

WHAT’S THAT SOUND? • See if you can copy the sounds of Vanemuine’s song in this fun game! Your teammates have to guess what you are trying to imitate...
